Specialist Interest in Headache

Dr Bazo Raheem is a Consultant Neurologist with a specialist interest in Headache medicine. His NHS practise is at King’s College Hospital where he runs both a Specialist Headache clinic and a General Neurological practise. He completed his medical degree with distinction in Clinical Sciences at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical school, University of London, in 2008 and also holds a degree in Pharmacology. Dr Raheem is a member of the British Association for the Study of Headache (BASH), the American headache Society (AHS) and the International Headache Society (IHS).

He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2011. He undertook his General Medical and Specialist Neurology training including a fellowship in Stroke/Neurovascular medicine in teaching hospitals both in London and the South East of England. At King’s he serves as an attending consultant to the Tertiary Neurosciences Centre and sees acutely unwell Neurology patients both as in and outpatients. He runs both a General Neurology service seeing patients across the full breadth of Neurological disease and a specialist clinic in Headache disorders. He is currently the chair of the South East London Headache Medication Optimisation committee and is passionate about individualised and personalised care for Neurology and Headache patients.

He sees private patients at HCA UK at the Shard, The Wellington Hospital - Platinum Medical Centre and the Guthrie clinic, King’s Private. He is recognised by all the major medical insurers including BUPA and AXA.
